In the era of digital photography it’s all too easy to press the shutter, starting the almost instantaneous process of capturing the image in the viewfinder, with little patience or thought as to why the picture is important. The significance of capturing ‘that moment’ when all the elements in a photograph come together perfectly to create a meaningful image can never be underestimated. Lighting, composition and even technical camera settings can all be perfect, but I would sacrifice all to capture a defining moment in life.
